Sculpture

New Drawings by John

Picture
My two main means of expression in my art is evident in both the areas of sculpture and also through drawing.  As sculpture is a slow process of starting with the stone and through many hours of working the stone and dancing with the stone, drawing is an immediate conversation with the work, and the creations of works that are more moments in time than swaths of time.

Here are some of my newest drawings.

Clients often begin collecting John’s work by purchasing a small sculpture for their home. They are easily shipped and look beautiful in any room of the house. They range from 10 - 35 pounds and have protective felt on the bottom so as to not scratch your furniture.

Made in Italy

The pictures here were all made in my recent stays in Italy.  They were created in quiet moments contained within the earthen days of sculpting.

Sandy and I have spent decades in this area where the famous carara marble comes from.
